Spring Fling Wrap Pattern

It’s funny… when I started playing around with the yarn for what would eventually become my latest pattern, I didn’t realize just how loved the eventual project would become! As you know by now, I usually work on a collaboration with KnitPicks each month. And let me tell you that while it’s not easy to decide on a design (like most makers or designers, I have a flurry of ideas in my head!), it’s even more difficult to decide on a KnitPicks yarn and shade combination! I absolutely love perusing the selections on knitpicks.com , because there is something for everyone, and every season (and every reason!).

I decided to use Knit Picks Comfy Worsted Yarn, a 75% Pima Cotton & 25% Acrylic blend in order to create a flowy, airy summer wrap. The colour is what blew me away!! Look at how beautiful Comfy Worsted in Rosehip turned out to be! It’s the perfect statement shade! And for those of us into neutrals, fear not, because Comfy Worsted currently comes in a staggering range of 34 shades!!!

Now let me tell you a little about my Spring Fling Wrap. I love to wear dresses most of the summer and I always keep a shawl or wrap on hand – do you do the same? And it was for this very reason that I came up with this elegant, yet casual, wrap pattern. It had to be simple but striking, airy yet provide some cover, and easy to care for. Comfy Worsted is a machine washable (in cold water) yarn, that can be hung or dried on low. Can it get any more perfect than that?

The pattern I chose was a simple repeat which ends up creating a gorgeous netted, lace look. Easy enough for a beginner, gorgeous end result. The fabric that’s produced is drapey, soft, and squishy! And the best part is that you don’t have to worry too much about gauge with this pattern, since it’s more like a blanket/shawl, and, you can customize the length to suit you!

To celebrate the launch of this coveted pattern, I’m offering you 25% off with coupon code 25FLING on Ravelry as well as on Etsy! This coupon is valid until July 8, 2021. 🙂
