I recently snuck in my latest headband pattern, for my crochet-lovers, onto Ravelry… but didn’t publish a blog post to go with it… and I thought, why not launch it with another gift for my readers!
My Niloo2 Headband, the crochet version of my Niloo Knitted Headband pattern, is actually the very first pattern I designed. I hesitated on launching the crochet pattern because I wanted to film a video for you, showing you how to seam the twist in. Due to a number of complications (aka mom-life), I haven’t been able to finish this and hesitated on launching this pattern. Then I decided, there are tons of resources on how to sew in a twist (a super-easy one is this!) and why am I holding back?
The Niloo2 Headband is made in partnership with the team at KnitPicks and WeCrochet! This awesome team makes it possible for many of us designers to launch patterns, and their yarn and tools are pretty amazing and affordable. I used KnitPicks Swish Bulky, which I’ve now used numerous times. Comprised of 100% Fine Superwash Merino, this yarn is the perfect antidote to those of us sensitive to wool: soft, non-scratchy, and very, very comfortable to wear. Oh, and it’s machine-washable!! Hello, Swish Bulky!
So here it is! It’s probably one of the fastest items I’ve ever crocheted… even the sewing takes just a few minutes. Head over to my Ravelry page, add it to your cart and get it for free (temporarily)! The promo ends on March 22nd, 2021 after which you’ll be able to purchase a low-cost ad-free PDF version on my Ravelry or Etsy stores!)
I hope you enjoy crocheting my Niloo2 Headband as much as I did!
NOTE: There are how-to videos available for the Linen Stitch on my Instagram Reels and IGTV! More videos will be added regularly. 🙂
