Dior Diorific Vernis for Holiday 2013

Recently I shared with you a preview of the stunning new Dior collection for Holiday 2013, Golden Winter. Included in this limited edition collection are three divine Diorific Vernis shades as well as the new Diorific Jewel Manicure Duo, a three-dimensional effect-mani which was inspired by the magnificent adornments of Versailles.

Today I bring you the three Diorific Vernis shades: Frimas (318), Minuit (995) and Marilyn (751), below left to right, in the most adorable retro bottles! These bottles are so pretty that they deserve to sit on your makeup counter or dresser, displayed as little treasures would be!

Frimas is a greige (grey-beige) pink-leaning shade with a distinctive gold glass fleck. What is incredible about Frimas is how intense the shimmer within it is! Application was easy, and the polish was opaque by the second coat. Drytime with Dior Vernis seems to be great across the board.

Here are two coats of Frimas, pre-top coat in direct sunlight:

Look at the shine in the shade:

Well what can I say about Minuit, the vamp of this collection… Minuit will leave you breathless! A deep burgundy with red and gold shimmer, it seems lit from within – and the shiny finish will only serve to further seduce you.

And speaking of seduction… this is Marilyn, a bright, classic red shade inspired by Miss Monroe. I believe this shade was first introduced for Holiday 2012 and I honestly can’t blame Dior for bringing it back. Everyone needs some Marilyn in their lives…

Marilyn had a slight crelly finish (cream-jelly), and was probably the easiest of the three polishes to apply due to its self-levelling and superior coverage. Don’t even get me started on the shine, seen below at two coats without top coat (artificial light):

Which of these beauties is your favourite?
