Summer has finally arrived for us in the Northern Hemisphere! We Canadians desperately await the longest day of the year annually… especially after our winters. June 21 is a momentous occasion! ??????????
To help welcome my favourite season, I am bringing you what is probably my most exciting pattern to date!
Meet the June Camisole, your new favourite summer top!!
Whether paired with sexy jeans or a skirt, you’ll be turning heads. The June Camisole is a knitting pattern that can be made in your preferred fit: perfectly close to your beautiful self, as shown in these photos, or a size or two larger for a more loose, casual fit. The v-neckline appears to have an i-cord edge (but it doesn’t 😉 ), and the length can be customized. Love tops cropped? Knit less rows! Love them a bit longer? Go for it!
Wear it on its own all summer long, or layer it under your favourite jacket the rest of the year! I am so obsessed with it that I am already thinking about all the other colours I want it in! OH! And the yarn for this top comes in a massive range of colours, perfect for every season, every reason, and every taste! I knitted this in KnitPicks CotLin Yarn, a DK weight 70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen blend that is perfectly suited for this season.
As always, the June Camisole is a size-inclusive knitting pattern available in sizes XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, to fit bust sizes from 30 – 58” or 76 – 147 cm! It is designed to be worn with 0 – 2” of positive ease, depending on your personal preference.
As if we need more reasons to knit this beauty… It is knitted almost entirely in stockinette stitch in the round, with stunning i-cord straps that can also be customized to fit you! I couldn’t believe how quickly this WIP flew off the needles!
