Over a year in the making… but it has finally made it out into the world!
It was a labour of love.
Don’t get me wrong. I love, love my latest knitting pattern, in fact, I am obsessed with it. But something about it did not want to compute in my brain as I tried to grade the beautiful little camisole in front of me on my computer. I could not get it. Or maybe it was my computer lol. Perhaps I needed to walk away for it to click, and I am glad that I did.
Because she is finally here! Meet my latest design, the Sage Cable Camisole!
The latest in my Obsessed Cable Series, the Sage Cable Camisole is for the cable lovers. We know cable knits are a staple for many of us, often in our winter wardrobes. I wanted to take a piece of that squishy, textured charm, and translate it to an easy, light summer knit. Knit completely in the round (my fave way to knit!), this little camisole is almost seamless (except for the straps). Oh the straps are made of squishy cables as well, adding a design element that has become my favourite. (See my Conch Tee, Poolside Camisole, and Beachside Camisole!)
Heat up the summer and bring this WIP with you… the in-the-round knitting (and little cable needle) makes it super-transportable, and the worsted weight yarn makes it a relatively quick knit. It is worked up in KnitPicks Comfy Worsted Yarn, a worsted weight 75% Cotton, 25% acrylic blend that is light and easy to care for. The yarn for this top comes in over 30 colours, meaning, you have endless choices, or you can make multiples!
As always, the Sage Cable Camisole is a size-inclusive knitting pattern available in sizes XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, to fit bust sizes from 30 – 58” or 76 – 147 cm! It is designed to be worn with1″ of negative ease to give you a slightly form-fitting shape.
