Happy Easter with a FREE Pattern!

Happy Easter, friends!!

Spring is in the air, warmer weather is arriving (hopefully soon, brr), and the sun is starting to shine brighter. ?? I feel the excitement!

I recently participated in Hobbii’s #EasterCraftswithHobbii DIY Campaign and created an adorable Easter-themed dishcloth that you might like. And I decided it would make an awesome FREE gift for you!
????????????????

I wanted to make something that could be useful and easily made, in colours to suit my kitchen style… I love pastels in springtime and decided on a white-to-yellow gradient using Hobbii’s Friends 8/8 Yarn. This yarn is 100% cotton and perfect for kitchen and home items.

I love the colour options for this yarn!! There are SO many colours to choose from! To make a gradient, the options are nearly endless; you can use any contrasting colour: white plus any other colour, or one of the lighter colours plus a brighter second choice.

Now onto the FREE dishcloth pattern!

Yarn: 2 contrasting colours of Hobbii Friends 8/8 Yarn; I used Pastel Yellow (21) and White (01). 1 skein each.

Needles: size 10 or 6 mm

Gauge: 16 sts x 18 rows

CO 29 with 2 strands of Hobbii Friends 8/8 Yarn in white.

Row 1: sl 1, p1, k1 to end

Row 2: sl 1, k1, p1 to end

Row 3: sl 1, p1, k1 to end

Row 4: sl 1, k1, p1 to end

Row 5: sl 1, p1, k1 to end

Row 6: sl 1 wyif, k1, p1 to end

Repeat these 6 rows to form the pattern, keeping in mind the colour changes every 11 rows:

Row 12, add yellow: Before starting row 12, drop ONE of the 2 white strands of yarn, and add one strand of yellow. Now you’ll be working with one strand of white and one of yellow, held together, for 11 rows.

Row 23, all yellow: Before starting row 23, drop the 2nd white strand of yarn, and add another strand of yellow. Now you’ll be working with 2 strands of yellow, held together, repeating the pattern for 11 rows until you finish row 33.

Row 34: BO in pattern.

I hope you enjoy making this adorable quick little make!
