I have to confess… I started working on the Diamond Tee pattern some time ago. When I started working on my March Tee, I already had this idea of a simple diamond brocade stitch in my head, and when I felt the fabric that KnitPicks Shine Worsted Yarn created, I knew I had to give it a try. Soft against your skin, but cool and loose-feeling, Shine Yarn is just perfect for summer!
Diamonds, diamonds everywhere…
Similar to my March Tee, the Diamond Tee is a size-inclusive beginner-level pattern, with the diamond effect achieved with simple purls and knits. The garment is composed of two rectangles, creating an irresistible boat neckline once you seam two sides and two shoulders. I’ve already made my second one!!
Made possible in collaboration with my friends at KnitPicks, using their KnitPicks Shine Worsted yarn, a 60% Pima Cotton, 40% Modal® (from natural beech wood fibre) blend. I can’t say enough about Shine Yarn! I love its sheen and beautiful soft drape!! I hope you are able to use it as well and feel the fabric it creates!
I absolutely adore this tee! It is so easy to wear casually, or dress up for a meeting. It ranges from a 29?/74 cm bust to a 58?/147 cm bust. Just like my March Tee, the length can be adjusted to your preference – I have made it just above hip/below dropped waist length in the pattern.
