Colors by Llarowe

Continuing my reveal of Colors by Llarowe polishes, today I have for you a hot and bright jelly-sandwich-in-a-bottle called Cherry Bomb.  (See a few Colors by Llarowe reviews here!)

Cherry Bomb is a cool cherry-red jelly, almost leaning towards a raspberry shade, with red micro shimmer, red circle glitter and medium iridescent hexes. I was blown away by the intensity of the red shade – a vivid lipstick red, even on its first coat. It applies like a dream, leaving behind a cherry jelly on your nails that builds up beautifully by the second coat. And the shine… oh the shine!

Here are two gorgeous coats of Cherry Bomb, in the sun:

Some of the large glitters did not want to cooperate, but I actually really liked Cherry Bomb with the randomly placed pieces!

The cool raspberry undercurrent is really visible in artificial light:

Finally, a macro shot to show you just how squishy and gorgeous this lacquer is:

I am so obsessed with this polish that I’ve kept it on… and I still can’t take it off!

All Colors by Llarowe polishes are 3-free and cruelty free, and come in a 15 ml square bottles with rubber-grip cap.

Today I bring you three more Colors by Llarowe polishes by the store of the same name (see some other Colors by Llarowe reviewed here)!

Focusing on blue hues, the first colour is Paradise Found, a shade from the Beauty of Nature collection. Paradise Found is an ocean-blue jelly polish with a hidden blue sparkle and a lilac sheen. If you like jellies, this is a gorgeous medium-blue shade with excellent application and super-high shine. I had no staining on the nail, but like some bright blues, it can leave a little murkiness around the cuticles if you smudge it during removal. I would recommend using small fresh cotton balls on each nail to avoid that. Here are two coats in artificial light:

Colors_ParadiseFound

And a macro in direct sunlight:

Montana Sky, from the same Beauty of Nature collection, is a polish with a similar blue jelly base to Paradise Found, but filed with blue shimmer and iridescent glitters. Application was similar to Paradise Found, and I had no trouble with the chunky glitters. Glitter payoff was great. I applied two coats over 1 coat of Paradise Found, which gave me very good coverage:

Look at the gorgeous, delicate shimmer and the depth of the polish in this macro shot:

The third and final blue hue for today is Bluebonnets, a Limited Edition charity polish with all proceeds going to victims of the Granbury, Texas tornadoes. Bluebonnets is another royal blue jelly base, this time with pink shimmer and instead of blue, with iridescent glitter pieces. Bluebonnets has very subtle, small square glitter pieces, and application was amazing, with even and generous glitter distribution. Here are two coats over a coat of Paradise Found:

Colors_Bluebonnets

I love that the pink shimmer gives Bluebonnets a slight blue-purple sheen! The pink shimmer is really visible in a macro shot:

Colors_BluebonnetsMacro

Final verdict: As mentioned, none of these blues stained, which is always a huge bonus with blue lacquers. All the polishes are swatched here without topcoat, and were extremely shiny on their own.

All of these polishes are 3-free and cruelty free, and come in a 15 ml square bottles.

Happy Fourth of July to our American Friends!

Much like Black Gold, Texas Tea, In the Navy is a gorgeous linear holo from Colors by Llarowe’s brand-new polish collection. A deep navy the colour of the deepest sea, In the Navy is a vampy shade after my own heart… the holo in it is so strong that even in shade, you see tiny glimmers of rainbow dancing on your nails.

Application was a dream: a fluid, full-coverage polish, In the Navy has an ultra-shiny base, levelling easily, and drying quickly. Here are two coats of In the Navy over base coat with FNUG’s new IGEL Manicure Top Coat:

And here is a photo slightly blurred to show you the gorgeous linear holo:

Check out this gorgeous macro shot:

FNUG’s IGEL top coat really delivered. It is incredibly long-lasting, and truly adds an extra level of shine. I managed to wear it for a full 5 days before my polish ADD kicking in and “forcing” me to change my nail colour, but even after 5 days, there were barely any chips. I was tough on my nails, washed dishes without gloves (which I usually try not to do) and other irresponsible nail things in order to test-drive this baby. And best part? It’s a quick-dry top coat!! (I think they need to add the label “quick-dry” to the bottle because I had no idea it was fast-drying.)

See the other Colors by Llarowe here and here! Just like my previous experience with this new brand, I was impressed! The holo was incredible and application was a breeze. All of Colors by Llarowe polishes are 3-free and cruelty free, and come in a 15 ml square bottles. The future bottles after the initial launch will have those amazing soft-touch caps that we’ve come to love!

Continuing on with the reveal of the brand-new line, today I bring you three more Colors by Llarowe lacquers by the store of the same name! (See Part 1 here!)

The first colour is probably one of my new favourites… Runt, from the Cheetoman & the Gang Collection, named after Leah Ann’s band of crazy kittens. This is a charity polish with proceeds going to the ASPCA – and if you know me, you know that I love nothing more than animals – so this is a polish close to my heart. Thank you, Leah Ann, for donating to animal charities. 🙂

Runt is a peach pink linear holo, almost pale enough to be called a near-nude (depending on your skintone). Runt is absolutely stunning!!!! The peach base is simply perfect for summer! I think this would also make a beautiful layering polish overtop of a peach or pink jelly…. I wanted to show you its true beauty, so here are three thin coats of Runt over A England’s base coat, and with a coat of FNUG Gel Top Coat. In the sun:

Colors_Runtsun

Look at that holo!!!! And is that not a beautiful pink? Application could not have been more perfect. A bit sheer on the first coat, but easily buildable, fluid, quick-drying. Love!

Even in the shade, Runt is spectacular: (by the way, this was pre-top coat!)

Colors_RuntShdCrazy shine and gorgeous colour. I think everyone needs a Runt in their lives!

Switching gears, the next shade is a much darker holo named Gizmo, also from the Cheetoman collection, and another ASPCA charity polish. This is a deep khaki linear holo, with incredible shine like the rest of the Colors by Llarowe polishes. Here are two coats of Gizmo in sunlight:

Colors_Gizmo
I am simply blown away by the holographic effects of these polishes!

Look at it in the shade – equally as gorgeous!

Colors_GizmoShd

The third colour today is Her Eyes Shined, another charity polish from the two-polish collection that is very dear to Leah Ann. This collection, called “Missing You,” is dedicated to her mom and dad whom she lost to cancer and to kidney disease, respectively. Proceeds of this polish will benefit the National Kidney Foundation. Her Eyes Shined is  a turquoise green jelly base with turquoise and blue microglitters, with somewhat of a sheer base. This makes a perfect layering polish if you are looking for opacity!

I applied two thin coats of Her Eyes Shined over Gizmo:

Colors_HerEyesShined

Being a translucent glitter, this polish simply glows and sparkles!!

Here is a macro shot to show you the beautiful glitters (click on the pic to enlarge):

Colors_HerEyesShinedMacro

Her Eyes Shined reminded me of a Caribbean ocean… the deep green with the gorgeous blue sparkles… It has such depth and jelly squishiness. This polish is so very pretty in person!

Once again, I was really impressed by Llarowe’s new polish line. The holo on these was incredible, they were all super-shiny,  and application was a breeze. You must get your hands on these!

All of these polishes are 3-free and cruelty free, and come in a 15 ml square bottles. The future bottles after the initial launch will have those amazing soft-touch caps that we’ve come to love!

So….which is your favourite so far?

(Products were provided for consideration and review. All opinions are my own.)

I am so excited to share today’s post with you! In anticipation of tomorrow’s launch, I have for you a preview of three Colors by Llarowe, a brand-new line of polishes by the store of the same name!

The first three colours you’ll see are all gorgeous, holographic polishes, and I hope you will like them as much as I do.

The vampiest is Black Gold, Texas Tea, a limited edition polish collection to benefit the tornado victims in Granbury, Texas. Only a small amount was created, with all proceeds going to a fund for the victims. BGTT is a jet black linear holo, and very pigmented. In order to prevent staining (Leah Ann does warn of the staining potential on her website), I used 2 coats of basecoat, and I had zero staining. One tip: when removing highly-pigmented polish, be generous and use a clean piece of remover-soaked cotton on each nail, let sit for a few seconds, and wipe off with one good swipe. Then use a clean tiny piece of cotton to clean up any edges.

Here are two coats of BGTT over 2 coats of base coat, in the shade:

Colors_BlackGoldTexasTeaShd2Look at that AMAZING black! And that SHINE!!

And in artificial light:

Colors_BlackGoldTexasTeaShd

Now wait for the incredible holographic sparkle in sunlight:

Colors_BlackGoldTexasTeaSun

Next up, a tie for my favourite of these three, Rare Bear, from the Cheetoman & the Gang collection, named after her band of crazy kittens. How cute is that?? Leah Ann says that Rare Bear has the most intense blue/grey eyes, which inspired this medium gray-blue holographic. A portion of the proceeds from sale of this polish will benefit the ASPCA.

Another easy application with incredible shine, I wore 2 coats over A England’s base coat for these pictures.  Look at the gorgeous steel-blue visible in artificial light:

Colors_RareBearShdAnd in the sun, wow!

Colors_RareBearSun

Finally, the third polish for today is Sparkles are a Girl’s Best Friend, a hot pink crelly holo base with purple flash and multi colored sparkle. This polish is a tribute to Leah Ann’s best friend Emily. And girly it is! hot pink, fun, summery!

Here it is full sun:

Colors_SparklesAreSun

I just love that shade of pink!!

Unfortunately all my shade shots of Sparkles were slightly fuzzy, so I don’t have a picture for you, but trust me, it is so pretty!

Final verdict: I was really, really impressed.  The holo on these was incredible. It was highly noticeable, even on the very first coat. The base that was used is high-shine, even pre-top coat, and the colours were perfect. For a first collection, these are must-haves!

All of these polishes are 3-free and cruelty free, and come in a 15 ml square bottles. The future bottles after the initial launch will have those amazing soft-touch caps that we’ve come to love!

And they LAUNCH TOMORROW over on Llarowe! Don’t forget to follow Llarowe on Facebook, Pinterest and on Instagram!
